Conflict Management

Conflict permeates the work environment and causes a loss of valuable productive time. In this workshop participants explore several models for dealing with conflict. They conduct role-plays to apply these models to their work environments. Participants complete several assessment instruments and an action plan to promote long-term application of the key concepts.

 

Major Objectives
In this workshop participants will:

  • Understand types of conflict
  • Study the causes of conflict in the work environment
  • Examine several models for dealing with conflict
  • Learn to resolve team conflict

Instructional Method
This is an interactive course which applies a variety of instructional methods to engage the participants. These include lectures, self-assessments, group discussion, video tapes, role-plays, group exercises, and the integration of real issues from the participants' work environments.
